State of Impact: Hunger In America Briefing
Study by Impact Genome and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research reveals more than half of Americans facing hunger struggle to get needed support
A new study conducted by Impact Genome and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research reveals more than half of Americans facing hunger struggle to get the support they need. The study, supported by The Albertsons Companies Foundation shows perceptions of ineligibility, confusion about how to enroll in support programs, and a lack of local services prevented more than 12.5 million people needing help from experiencing relief.
“This research tells us not only how many people need support feeding their families, but also the barriers they faced and which solutions will meet their need” says Heather King, Vice President of Evidence & Implementation at the Impact Genome Project®
